Ingredients

For the Ramen:
  • 1 package ramen noodles discard the flavor packet
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon chili garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 stalks green onions thinly sliced
  • toasted sesame seeds for sprinkling

Equipment

  • Medium pot
  • Skillet or wok
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Serving bowls

Method

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Boil the Noodles - Start by bringing a medium pot of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the ramen noodles and cook according to package directions, usually around 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Sauce - In a skillet or wok, heat the coconut oil over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.
  3. Step 3: Mix in the Flavors - Add the brown sugar, low sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili garlic paste to the skillet. Stir well to combine, letting the mixture bubble gently for about a minute.
  4. Step 4: Add the Noodles - Toss the drained ramen noodles into the skillet, coating them evenly with the sauce. Pour in the toasted sesame oil and mix well, allowing the noodles to soak up all the delicious flavors for another minute.
  5. Step 5: Garnish and Serve - Remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the noodles to serving bowls and top with the sliced green onions and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy your 15 Minute Sesame Ramen Noodles!
