  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • Optional spices Garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Meat thermometer
  • Tongs
  • Paper towels

Method

Instructions:
  1. Start by patting the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving crispy skin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  6. Once cooked, transfer the wings to a large mixing bowl. Pour the BBQ sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
  7. For an extra sticky finish, return the coated wings to the air fryer for an additional 5-10 minutes at 400°F.
  8. Once done, remove the wings from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for about 5-7 minutes.
  • Consider freezing uncooked seasoned wings for a quick meal later.
