Ingredients

  • 1 pound strip steak thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha adjustable to taste
  • 1 pound raw broccoli florets
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil for coating
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch to thicken sauce

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula or Tongs

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the low sodium soy sauce, water, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sriracha, and cornstarch. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Add the thinly sliced strip steak to the marinade and let it marinate for at least 15-30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Toss the broccoli florets with olive oil in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the marinated beef to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  6. Add the broccoli to the air fryer basket with the beef and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  7. Serve warm over rice or noodles, drizzling any leftover sauce over the top.

Notes

  • For a lighter option, substitute chicken for the beef.
  • Use tamari for a gluten-free version of soy sauce.
  • Freeze leftovers for up to a month and reheat in the air fryer.
