  1. Start by rinsing the chicken drumettes under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for getting that crispy exterior.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, melted unsalted butter, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and kosher salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Add the dried chicken drumettes to the bowl with the honey mustard glaze. Toss the chicken until each piece is completely coated in the sauce.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes. This will ensure that your wings cook evenly and get that lovely crispy texture.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the coated chicken drumettes in a single layer in the basket, making sure they aren’t overcrowded. If you have too many, cook them in batches.
  6. Cook the wings in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through. This will allow for even cooking and crispiness on all sides.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165°F (74°C). If necessary, cook for an additional few minutes until they reach the desired temperature.
