Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the masa harina, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, paprika, ground cumin, garlic salt, sugar, dried minced onion, and beef bouillon powder. Mix well to ensure that all the spices are evenly distributed.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground chuck. Use a spatula to break it up as it cooks. Stir occasionally until the meat is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the beef is fully cooked, drain any excess grease. Sprinkle the prepared taco seasoning over the beef, and mix it in thoroughly. Add about 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and stir to combine. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
- While the beef is simmering, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the taco shells on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- Once the taco shells are ready, spoon a generous amount of the seasoned beef into each taco shell. Top with shredded iceberg lettuce, diced Roma tomatoes, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese. Add a dollop of sour cream if desired.
- Arrange your assembled tacos on a platter and serve immediately. Enjoy your homemade tacos with your favorite sides!
Notes
- The taco seasoning can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container for future use.
- Consider using homemade taco shells for an even more authentic experience.
- For a twist, serve your tacos with a side of guacamole or a zesty pico de gallo.
