Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat Your Oven. Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures your salmon will cook evenly and develop a crispy crust.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Baking Sheet. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This will help prevent the salmon from sticking and make cleanup a breeze.
  3. Step 3: Season the Salmon. Place your salmon fillets on the lined baking sheet, skin-side down if applicable. Season each fillet generously with sea salt and pepper.
  4. Step 4: Mix the Topping. In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, paprika, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
  5. Step 5: Apply the Mixture. Using a spatula, spread a generous layer of the mayonnaise mixture over the top of each salmon fillet.
  6. Step 6: Add the Crunch. In a separate bowl, mix the Panko breadcrumbs with the grated Parmesan cheese and olive oil. Stir until the breadcrumbs are evenly coated. Sprinkle this mixture over the mayo-covered salmon fillets.
  7. Step 7: Bake. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the topping is golden brown and crispy.
  8. Step 8: Serve and Enjoy. Once baked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • To retain the crispy topping, reheat leftovers in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Using parchment paper helps prevent sticking and ensures easy cleanup.
  • Feel free to experiment with different fish types like cod or halibut.
