  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz)

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Step 3: Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Gradually add the Bisquick baking mix to the mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips and optional chopped nuts.
  6. Step 6: Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Step 7: Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Step 8: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
  • For longer storage, freeze cookies for up to three months.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
