Start by boiling 3/4 cup of water. Remove from heat and add the chai tea bags. Allow to steep for about 5 minutes.
While the tea is steeping, place the basil seeds in a bowl and cover with water. Let soak for 10-15 minutes.
In the bowl with steeped chai tea, remove tea bags and whisk in coconut milk, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom.
Once the basil seeds are ready, add them to the chai mixture and stir gently until combined.
Transfer to a refrigerator-safe container, cover, and chill for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
