Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Gradually pour in the warm water and ¾ cup olive oil. Use a wooden spoon to mix until a sticky dough forms. If the dough is too wet, add additional flour, a little at a time, until it pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
- While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Once risen, punch down the dough to release air. Roll it out into a rectangle, about ½ inch thick. Cut into strips using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
- In a small bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic, and dry ranch seasoning mix.
- Place the strips on a greased baking sheet, brush with the garlic mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping. Enjoy the cheesy goodness!
Notes
- Make the dough ahead of time and store it in the fridge after the first rise for convenience.
- Feel free to customize the flavor by adding your favorite herbs or spices.
- These breadsticks freeze well; wrap them tightly in plastic after cooling and store in an airtight container.
