In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Unroll puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Roll out gently to 1/8-inch thick and cut into eight squares.
On each square, place about a tablespoon of cream cheese mixture and top with cherry filling.
Fold the corners of each square toward the center and pinch to seal. Place on a baking sheet.
Brush the tops with heavy cream for a golden sheen.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
Let cool slightly, then garnish with sliced almonds before serving.
