Prep Time 15 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 6 servings
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 8 ounces whipped topping (softened if frozen)
  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos, crushed)
  • 24 pieces gummy worms (3-5 gummy worms per cup)

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Cup or glass containers
  • Measuring cups
  • Spatula

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the 4 cups of milk and the two boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken, which should take about 2 minutes.
  2. Once the pudding is thick, gently fold in the 8 ounces of whipped topping.
  3. Take your chocolate sandwich cookies and crush them into fine crumbs.
  4. In your serving cups, start with a layer of the chocolate pudding mixture, followed by a generous layer of crushed cookies. Repeat these layers until your cups are filled, finishing with a layer of whipped topping on top.
  5. Place 3-5 gummy worms on top of each cup for a whimsical touch.
  6. Place the assembled cups in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try using vanilla pudding mix instead of chocolate.
  • Swap out the chocolate sandwich cookies for graham crackers for a different texture.
  • Use fruit-flavored gummy worms for a fruity twist.
