Flaxseed Crackers

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup flax meal (120g)
  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water (80ml)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flax meal, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  3. Add the extra virgin olive oil and water to the dry mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out to about 1/8-inch thickness.
  5. Cut the rolled-out dough into squares or rectangles.
  6. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool on a wire rack before enjoying!

Notes

  • Store cooled crackers in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Freeze for longer storage in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
  • Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes to re-crisp.
