Total Time 15 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
Course: Salad
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1 lb grapes any kind, halved (red, green, or black)
  • 2 apples any kind, diced (such as Granny Smith or Fuji)
  • 2 bananas sliced
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 rounded tablespoons honey
  • 1 lemon juice OR lime juice juice of 1 OR 1/2 of each

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Small bowl
  • Spoon or whisk
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Begin by washing all the fruits thoroughly. Hull the strawberries and slice them into bite-sized pieces. Halve the grapes, dice the apples, and slice the bananas. If using frozen blueberries, there’s no need to thaw them; they can go straight into the bowl.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the strawberries, grapes, apples, bananas, and blueberries. Toss them carefully to ensure the fruits are evenly mixed without bruising.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the honey and citrus juice. Whisk until the honey is fully dissolved into the juice. This syrup will serve as a delicious dressing for your salad.
  4. Drizzle the citrus and honey syrup over the fruit mixture. Gently toss the salad to ensure that all the fruits are coated in the syrup. Be careful not to mash the fruits while mixing.
  5. Transfer the Fruit Salad to a serving bowl or individual cups. Serve immediately for the freshest taste, or chill it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes for a refreshing treat.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • If fruits release too much liquid, drain it before serving.
  • For a unique twist, try adding tropical fruits like pineapple or mango.
