Ingredients

For the Wings:
  • 3 pounds chicken wings about 12 wings
  • 8 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 large lemon juiced
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven thermometer
  • Cooking spray or oil
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Whisk

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). A hot oven is essential for achieving that crispy texture.
  2. Step 2: Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. The drier the wings, the crispier they will become in the oven.
  3. Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, juice of the lemon, minced garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and cornstarch. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade. Toss until every wing is evenly coated in the delicious garlic mixture.
  5. Step 5: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup (optional) or lightly grease it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  6. Step 6: Place the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not touching; this will help them crisp up better.
  7. Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through to ensure even cooking and browning. They should be golden brown and crispy when done.
  8. Step 8: Remove the wings from the oven and sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the hot wings. Return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and get slightly crispy.
  9. Step 9: Once out of the oven, garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy!
