Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups plain oat granola
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries coarsely chopped if large

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Step 2: Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. Step 3: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
  4. Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Step 5: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  6. Step 6: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  7. Step 7: Gently fold in the granola, old-fashioned oats, chocolate chips, and dried cherries.
  8. Step 8: Drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  9. Step 9: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Step 10: Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
