Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs:
  • 1 large onion (grated)
  • 1 pound ground beef (or lamb, or veal)
  • ½ cup parsley (fresh, chopped)
  • ½ cup oregano (fresh, chopped)
  • ½ cup mint (fresh, chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (Panko)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (or vegetable oil, for frying)

Method
 

Cooking Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients - Grate the onion and mince the garlic. Chop the parsley, oregano, and mint finely.
  2. Step 2: Mix the Meatball Mixture - In a large bowl, combine the onion, ground beef, parsley, oregano, mint, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Step 3: Form the Meatballs - Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a tray.
  4. Step 4: Heat the Oil - In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  5. Step 5: Cook the Meatballs - Fry the meatballs for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  6. Step 6: Serve and Enjoy - Transfer to a serving platter and enjoy with Greek salad, tzatziki, and pita!

Notes

  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor.
  • Panko breadcrumbs yield lighter meatballs.
  • Freeze uncooked meatballs for up to 3 months.
