In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Once the yeast is activated, add the salt and vegetable oil to the mixture. Gradually stir in 5 cups of bread flour, one cup at a time.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it for about 8 to 10 minutes.
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Once risen, punch it down gently. Turn it out onto a floured surface and shape it into a loaf. Place it in a greased loaf pan.
Cover the loaf pan with a towel and let it rise again for about 30 to 45 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once risen, bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
