Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Jars - Sterilize your jars by washing them in hot, soapy water and rinsing thoroughly. Place them in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Step 2: Fill the Jars - Pour the sweetened condensed milk equally into the jars, filling each to about three-quarters full.
  3. Step 3: Seal the Jars - Secure the lids tightly, ensuring a snug fit for steam to escape.
  4. Step 4: Set Up the Slow Cooker - Place a clean kitchen towel at the bottom of the slow cooker and arrange the jars upright on top.
  5. Step 5: Add Water - Pour water until the jars are submerged by about two-thirds.
  6. Step 6: Cook - Cover and set the slow cooker to low heat. Cook for 8 hours.
  7. Step 7: Cool and Stir - After cooking, let the jars cool in the water for 30 minutes, then stir to achieve a smooth consistency.
  8. Step 8: Store - Let cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating. Store for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Always sterilize jars to prevent spoilage.
  • Leave space in jars for expansion during cooking.
  • Don’t open the slow cooker lid while cooking to maintain heat.
