  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil For sautéing
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust to taste

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Skillet or saucepan
  • Meat thermometer

Method

Directions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Wings
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Thaw frozen wings in the refrigerator overnight. Pat the wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Step 2: Coat the Wings
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the wings until evenly coated.
  3. Step 3: Bake the Wings
Lay the coated wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Step 4: Make the Sauce
In a skillet, heat the butter or oil over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha, and let simmer until thickened.
  5. Step 5: Toss the Wings in Sauce
Remove wings from the oven and transfer to a mixing bowl. Pour sauce over the wings and toss until coated.
  6. Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
Return wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes. Serve hot with dipping sauce, celery sticks, or salad.

Notes

  • Dry the wings thoroughly for better crispiness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet for even cooking.
  • Let wings rest briefly before tossing in sauce for better adherence.
