Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons Prepared Horseradish choose a good-quality for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Chives chopped finely

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Plastic wrap or parchment paper

Method

  1. Begin by allowing your butter to come to room temperature. Cut into small pieces to speed up the softening process if short on time.
  2. In your mixing bowl, add the softened butter, prepared horseradish, and finely chopped chives.
  3. Using the spatula, mix everything together until well combined and smooth, making sure there are no lumps of butter remaining.
  4. Taste your Horseradish Butter. If you desire a stronger horseradish flavor, feel free to add a bit more.
  5. Transfer the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap or parchment paper, shape it into a log or desired form, then wrap it tightly.
  6. Place the wrapped butter in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up.

Notes

  • Store Horseradish Butter in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • Wrap tightly to maintain freshness; for longer storage, freeze it.
  • Experiment with different herbs like parsley or dill for added flavor.
