Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 2 pieces lobster tails
  • 1 piece lemon cut into wedges, divided
  • 6 tablespoons butter divided
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Large Pot
  • Colander
  • Baking Dish
  • Measuring spoons
  • Oven mitts

Method

Method:
  1. Thaw the lobster tails by placing them in the refrigerator for 8-10 hours or submerge in cold water for 30-60 minutes.
  2. Once thawed, cut through the top shell of the lobster tails with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut the meat underneath.
  3. Boil a large pot of water with kosher salt and add the lobster tails. Boil for 5-7 minutes until the meat is opaque.
  4. While the lobster cooks, melt 4 tablespoons of butter and mix in garlic powder, smoked paprika, Old Bay seasoning, and white pepper.
  5. Preheat the broiler. Remove lobster from pot, place in a baking dish, brush with the butter mixture, and broil for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the lobster with squeezed lemon juice and remaining melted butter on the side.

Notes

  • Experiment with different seasonings like chili powder for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
  • Grill lobster tails for a different flavor.
