Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 fillets Boneless salmon fillets (skin on or skin off)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil (or substitute with avocado oil)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Paper towels

Method

Instructions
  1. Step 1: Pat your salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Step 2: Place your skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Allow the oil to heat until it shimmers, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Once hot, carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin side down if applicable. Sear for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  4. Step 4: When golden brown, use your spatula to flip the salmon. Sear the other side for about 3-4 minutes, depending on thickness.
  5. Step 5: Remove from the skillet and let rest for a minute before serving.

Notes

  • For crispy skin, press down gently on the fillets while cooking.
  • Experiment with spices like garlic powder or fresh herbs for added flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
