The Method for Lemon Pepper Wings:
- Start by rinsing the chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving that crispy skin.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the garlic powder, salt, and baking powder (if baking). Mix well. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with the lemon pepper seasoning and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the seasoned wings and toss again until well coated.
- You can choose to bake, air fry, or grill your wings. Each method offers a unique twist on the flavor and texture.
Baking Method:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the wings are golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Air Fryer Method:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
Grilling Method:
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the wings on the grill, and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have nice grill marks.
- Once your wings are cooked, remove them from the oven, air fryer, or grill. Sprinkle the fresh parsley on top for a pop of color. Serve with blue cheese dressing, carrot sticks, and celery sticks on the side. Don’t forget the lemon wedges for a fresh squeeze of citrus!
Notes
- Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes or air fry at 350°F for 5-7 minutes until heated through.
- For meal prep, consider making a larger batch to enjoy throughout the week.
