Cuisine: American

Ingredients

Ingredients:
  • 8 eggs Eggs
  • 1 pound Pork sausage (like Jimmy Dean)
  • 1.5 cups Whole milk or heavy cream
  • 30 oz. Frozen shredded hash browns
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp Garlic powder

Equipment

  • Ninja Foodi
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cooking spray or oil

Method

Instructions:
  1. In a large mixing bowl, crack the 8 eggs and whisk them together until well combined. Add in the whole milk or heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  2. Turn on the Ninja Foodi and set it to the sauté function. Add the pound of pork sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked through. Break the sausage into small pieces as it cooks. Once done, transfer the sausage to a plate and set aside.
  3. Spray the Ninja Foodi pot with cooking spray or lightly coat it with oil. Evenly spread the frozen shredded hash browns across the bottom of the pot. This will form the base of your casserole.
  4. Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the hash browns, followed by 1 cup of the cheddar cheese. Gently pour the egg mixture over the top, ensuring it covers the sausage and hash browns evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top of the casserole. This will create a delicious, gooey topping once cooked.
  6. Close the lid of the Ninja Foodi and set it to the bake/roast function at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 to 30 minutes. The casserole is done when the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Once cooked, carefully remove the pot from the Ninja Foodi and let it cool for a few minutes. Cut the casserole into squares and serve warm for a delightful breakfast experience.

Notes

  • Use frozen hash browns for the best texture and moisture control.
  • Feel free to swap the pork sausage for turkey or plant-based alternatives.
  • Allow the casserole to cool slightly before cutting to help it hold its shape.
