  • Skillet or griddle
  • Spatula

Method

Instructions:
  1. Step 1: Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar - In a small bowl, mix together the 4 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Set this aside.
  2. Step 2: Combine Dry Ingredients - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the self-raising flour, baking powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and salt until well blended.
  3. Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients - In another bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and milk. Whisk until everything is nicely incorporated.
  4. Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients - Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Step 5: Heat the Skillet - Place your skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
  6. Step 6: Cook the Pancakes - Pour about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface.
  7. Step 7: Add the Nutella - Before flipping, add a small dollop (about 1 teaspoon) of Nutella in the center of the pancake. Cover it with a tiny bit more batter.
  8. Step 8: Coat in Cinnamon Sugar - Once cooked, remove the pancakes from the skillet and toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they're still warm.
  9. Step 9: Serve and Enjoy! - Serve these delicious pancakes warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes for fluffier pancakes.
  • Use medium heat to ensure pancakes cook evenly.
  • Don’t skip the cinnamon sugar coating for the best flavor!
