  • 6 drops red food coloring for the signature pink hue

  1. Step 1: Pop the Popcorn - In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add popcorn kernels and cover. Shake occasionally until popping slows.
  2. Step 2: Prepare the Syrup - In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, half and half, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Step 3: Add Flavor and Color - Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla and food coloring until well mixed.
  4. Step 4: Combine Popcorn and Syrup - Pour the hot syrup over the popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Fold gently until well coated.
  5. Step 5: Spread and Cool - Transfer the coated popcorn to a cookie sheet. Spread evenly and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
