Method
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Pat the brisket dry with paper towels and slather with yellow mustard.
- Combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper; rub onto the brisket.
- Add beef broth and chopped vegetables to the roasting pan.
- Place the brisket on top of the vegetables, cover with aluminum foil, and braise.
- Braise for 4 to 5 hours until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
- Let the brisket rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Don’t rush the cooking time for tender brisket.
- Avoid too much liquid; just enough to braise.
- Rest the brisket before slicing for juiciness.
