Ingredients
  

For the Mousse:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 8 ounces smoked salmon skin removed, cut into smaller pieces
  • 1.5 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1.5 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Method
 

Instructions:
  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients. Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  2. In a mixing bowl or food processor, add the cream cheese and smoked salmon. Blend until creamy.
  3. Add the lemon juice, lemon zest, and dill to the mixture. Blend until smooth.
  4. Taste your mousse and season with salt and pepper. Blend again to mix in.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least one hour to firm up.
  6. Garnish with extra dill and serve with crackers or vegetables.

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
  • For a dairy-free option, use a dairy-free cream cheese substitute.
  • Experiment with different herbs like chives or parsley for varied flavor.
