  • 2 pounds jumbo raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 16 ounces fresh broccoli (about 2 heads)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 3 teaspoons cornstarch equal parts with water for thickening
  • to serve Brown rice (for serving)

Method
 

Preparation Steps:
  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Step 2: Wash and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Place them on the sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Step 3: In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and ginger paste. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Step 4: Add the shrimp to the mixing bowl with the sauce and toss until thoroughly coated.
  5. Step 5: Arrange the shrimp evenly on the sheet pan alongside the broccoli and drizzle any remaining sauce over the top.
  6. Step 6: Roast in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  7. Step 7: (Optional) In a small saucepan, combine cornstarch and water to thicken the sauce while the shrimp and broccoli roast.
  8. Step 8: Remove the sheet pan from the oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve hot over brown rice, drizzling with thickened sauce if using.
