  1. Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients. Start by peeling and slicing your potatoes into 1/8 inch thick rounds. Wash them thoroughly and lay them out on a towel to dry.
  2. Step 2: Sauté the Aromatics. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter. Add the chopped yellow onion and sauté for about 5 minutes until translucent. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Step 3: Add the Potatoes. Carefully add the sliced potatoes to the skillet. Stir gently to coat them with the buttery mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and the hot paprika.
