Begin by rinsing the romaine lettuce hearts under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel or use a salad spinner to remove excess moisture. Once dry, chop the romaine into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
In a small bowl, whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Pour the dressing over the chopped romaine hearts. Toss gently to ensure that all the lettuce is well coated with the delicious dressing.
Sprinkle the shaved Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad. Give it another gentle toss to distribute the cheese evenly throughout the salad.
Taste the salad and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve immediately, or let it chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes if you prefer a cooler salad.
