Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons salted butter divided and softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 slices pull-apart bar-b-q bread or 4 slices Texas Toast, thick-cut

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Butter knife or spatula
  • Oven or Toaster Oven
  • Baking sheet

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 5 tablespoons of softened salted butter with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. If using pull-apart bar-b-q bread, tear it into slices about 1 inch thick. For Texas Toast, grab the pre-sliced version.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  5. Place the buttered side of the bread down on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a minute before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh bread for the best flavor and texture.
  • Don’t skimp on the butter; cover each slice generously.
  • Try adding fresh herbs to the garlic butter for extra flavor.
